If you’re still in primary school and you haven’t experienced the fun of your final week of sixth class yet then you don’t know what’s coming. I won’t lie in saying there are a few feelings of sadness at the thought of leaving forever but nearly everyone will tell you that whether it’s your final week of primary or secondary, you feel immortal. The difference is that in the last week of primary school there’s more ahead of you and being more innocent at that age just heightens the curiosity of what life will bring. In my experience, my final week of primary school was spent creating unforgettable memories with my class in Tayto Park, the football pitch and endless hours of our favourite game, dodgeball. Our primary school had a tradition where on the final day, the sixth class students would take on the first years (who left the previous year) in an egg fight.
My older sister took part in this tradition and many other past students had told me how unforgettable it would be for us wen it was our turn and it didn’t disappoint. On our final day we carried out the tradition and had one of the best days of our lives. We didn’t need anything except each other’s company roaming around the countryside and a good reason to have a laugh. There’s just an unexplainable buzz going around on the final week of school. As if even though it’s all ending in a matter of five days, the fun feels like it lasts forever. I encourage others to write blogs about their experiences in leaving school and whether it was memorable or disappointing or any feeling that gets incited
